Going into the 2011 MLB All Star game, the San Francisco Giants sent an astounding five players to the Nation League All Star team for the first time since 1966.

Offense is certainly a trade target that General Manager Brian Sabean is searching for, but it has to be for the right price. Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury broke the news today that Mark  DeRosa has an inflamed left wrist (the one that kept him out all of last season) and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list tomorrow to allow time for Emmauel Burriss to join the team.

According to Andrew Baggarly, Brandon  Belt has been optioned back to triple-A Fresno in order to make room for Cody  Ross coming off the disabled list.

Madison  Bumgarner has had an excelled career.

Drafted out of high school, Bumgarner was picked 10th overall by the Giants back in 2007. He was 18 years old.

He pitched well in the minors in 2008 and 2009. Last year he was called up to the Giants Starting rotation once they saw how bad Todd Wellenmeyer was, making his debut on September 8th, 2010.

From then on, he never looked back. Edgar  Renteria won the 2010 World Series MVP award.

According to John Shea at the San Francisco Chronicle, the Giants have offered Edgar  Renteria a Pat  Burrell-type of contract ($1 million for 1 year) for the 2011 season.

We die-hard fans of the San Francisco Giants have endured a "torturous" season as some may believe; a total of 162 roller-coaster regular season games and 11 nail-biting playoff games.

There are 5 main tools a baseball player can use in a game: pitching, fielding, hitting for power, hitting for average and speed.

The giants have one of the best pitching staffs in the league, along with one of the top defensive corps in the national league. This season they added power and average with Huff, Burrell, Torres and Buster Posey, but their speed was lacking.

Todd Wellemeyer isn't cutting it. Posting two opposite sides of pitching at each start. Throwing the ball well at home, yet atrocious on the road.
